Jonathan Gonzalez Interactive / Graphic Designer / Photographer
Challenges will help me to further develop and fine-tune my artistic voice. Art, in my opinion, should be able to successfully communicate a multitude of messages to different audiences and cultures within many societies around the world and spanning centuries.
Photography has strengthened my interests in graphic design and Motion Graphics. The fact that several people can photograph the same location and make them appear to be completely different through manipulation and control of lighting and exposure is simply amazing. Combining photography and web design is an excellent way to communicate ideas and stories through art into reality.
Art has always been a huge part of who I am as a person and this is something that I hope to expand upon as a student, individual, and artist into the future. It was not until taking a course related to Western art and its impact on Western culture through architecture, painting, and sculpture that I became certain that it was my calling. All disciplines within the field of art interest me a great deal and it is difficult to choose just one. As I move forward, I want to focus more and more on telling stories, not only with photographs, and graphic design but with films as well. I love what I do! This is the reason that I hope to incorporate all of them into my career upon completing my MS program in Marketing at Johns Hopkins University (Carey Business School). My goal is to bring passion and a positive change in people's lives through Photography, Graphic Design and Film.
